Initial Appointment
& Orientation

We want to know you. As a whole person. Not a diagnosis, a label or what is wrong with you. We know that takes time. And trust.

We take this time to get to know you. And for you to trust us.

At your first appointment, we will take the time with you to understand you and your needs, as a whole person.

We will then discuss your needs and together develop a plan for our ongoing work together and specific goals to be achieved in this time.

You will be provided with information about our space, how we work & how you can stay connected with us.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Do I need a referral?

You do not need a referral to access our services. However, at eluceo we believe in integrated care and a referral from your GP is welcomed and appreciated.

As a Specialist General Practitioner, Dr Ashlea does not need a referral for you to access a medicare rebate for her services.

In order to receive a medicare rebate to see Rebecca for nutrition counselling; you will need a referral under Eating Disorder Plan or a Team Care Arrangement.

Are you a medical practice? Can you be my regular GP?

At eluceo, we provide medical, psychological and nutrition care. We are registered as a “medical practice” and adhere the standards for General Practices for our available services.

We do not provide acute care, procedures, an “on-call” service, after hours care or preventative care; such as pap smears, skin checks and immunisations.

We believe these are essential services for overall health and wellbeing. We recommend you have a ‘medical home’ who we can collaborate with, to provide you with care that is integrated and connected to your existing General Practice services.

Can I receive a medicare rebate?

Yes you can. All of Ashlea’s consultations attract a medicare rebate.

To attract a medicare rebate for Rebecca, a referral is required. (See above)

Please contact us for information on the estimated rebate as it depends on the reason for visit and referral.

How many appointments do I need?

It depends! After your initial intake and orientation we will discuss and plan with you the sequence, schedule, frequency and number of appointments required.

You will also be given a fee estimate including available medicare rebates.

Meeting you where you are at, not where other people want or wish you to be.
